GUI testing for ANDROID
QuickTest Professional (QTP) or Visual Studio can now be used to
automate test cases for Android based applications.
In version 3.0 of M-eux Test, Jamo Solutions released the first
support for the Android mobile platform. Both the Android emulator as the
real device are supported.
M-eux Test extends either QuickTest Professional or Visual Studio. The
extension supports the recognition of the GUI objects on the Android mobile
phone. All standard UI objects of the Android platform are supported and can
be learned using the # 18learn-GUI# 19 functionality.
Android is a
software stack for mobile devices that includes an operating system,
middleware and key applications. Several big manufacturers have released this
year Android based mobile phones and following to Gartner, Android will
become the second mobile OS after Symbian.

information can be found on the company web site by clicking here.
Standard Edition
By introducing a standard edition of the tool, customers can purchase the
core functionality to create test scripts against a mobile platform in either
QuickTest Professional or Visual Studio. Advanced functionality like the
local scheduler, multi-tool support, the WAN connector and multi-platform
support are now part of the Professional edition.

Local test case scheduler
A local test case scheduler is introduced in version 3.0 of M-eux Test. The
scheduler supports execution of QTP and VS test cases against the connected
devices given a specific time and frequency of execution.
WAN Connector
Mobile applications might need to be verified in remote
networks from different operators. Instead of being forced to create and run
your test scripts locally in these networks, you can now connect remotely
using the Wan Connector.
Database Checkpoints
Database base checkpoints for the MS-SQL Server mobile edition are now
available in M-eux Test.
Quality Center Integration
A Quality Center extension is available so that test cases can be
executed against the mobile device instead of against a PC.
Also the integration of the Visual Studio scripts into Quality Center is now
a fact. Visual Studio scripts can be stored in the Quality Center repository
and can be executed from Quality Center.
